Roger D. Travis, 73, passed away on Sunday November 23, 2025. He was born on July 14, 1952 the son of the late Earnest and Hilda Travis.
Roger was a lifelong resident of the area. He graduated from Homer high school where he was a member of FFA and he did track and field. Roger served in the United States Marine Corps from 1971-1979. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a handyman and could fix anything. His friends called him Roogle because he knew everything. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Roger is survived by his daughter Erika Travis-Ayala, his brothers Charles and Daniel Travis, his sister Janet McMullin, and his grandson Benjamin Vavila.
In addition to his parents, Roger is predeceased by his siblings Audra Allcock, Edgar Travis, and Allan Travis.
