Obituary of Sandra J. Brown
Please share a memory of Sandra to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sandra "Sandy" Brown passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025, at the age of 79. Born in Johnson City, NY, on November 19, 1946, Sandy was a proud graduate of Whitney Point Central School, Class of 1967.
Sandy devoted much of her life to the Marathon School District, where she served as both a bus driver and a teacher's assistant. Her dedication, kindness, and tireless work ethic left a lasting impact on countless students and families. She took great pride in being a part of the school community and was known for her warm heart and unwavering support.
Outside of her professional life, Sandy found joy in sewing and quilting, often crafting beautiful pieces that reflected her creativity and care. She had a deep love for genealogy and spent many hours tracing her family's roots, preserving stories and connections for future generations. Time with family and friends was especially precious to her—whether it was a shopping trip, a travel adventure, or simply sharing a laugh, Sandy cherished every moment. Above all, she had a remarkable way of putting her family and friends first; no matter the distance or effort required, she would go out of her way to help, to show up, and to make sure those she loved felt supported. One of her greatest joys was helping to plan her high school reunions, a role she embraced with enthusiasm and love.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe C. Perce, Marguerite, and Robert Theleman; her brothers, Monroe "Sonny" Perce, and Raymond Perce; her stepsons, Mark, Scott, and Jason Brown.
She is survived by her daughters, Danie'l Fish and Denise (Kevin) King; her beloved grandsons, Alexander and Ethan King; her stepson, Martin Brown; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great- great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward. She is also survived by her sisters, Verna "Randi” Carlisle (Michael Repetto), Soniann Ratcliffe, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
At this time, no services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sandy's memory may be made to the Center Lisle Congregational Church, 9670 State Route 79, Lisle, NY 13797.
