Obituary of Audrey A. Caughey

Audrey A. Caughey 92 formally of Cortland, NY until October 2023 passed away December 20, 2025, in Kensington, MD. Audrey was born May 13, 1933, in Geneva, NY, the daughter of the late Floyd and Agnes Gombash Lovelace. Audrey was a graduate of Nazareth College. She was a communicant of St. Mary's prior to moving to Kensington, MD and a member of the Legion of Mary where she met her late husband, Robert. She had been employed as an Employment and Training Coordinator for Cortland County. Audrey is survived by her sons Robert Caughey Jr. of Kintnersville, PA, Michael (Madeleine) Caughey of Kensington, MD and Rev. Daniel Caughey of Sherburne, NY, her grandchildren Luke, Alice, Ryan and Sean, and a younger brother James of Middleburg, NY. Several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Audrey was predeceased by her husband Robert and her brother Donald. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Friday, January 9, 2026, at St. Mary's Church with Fr. Malachi Clark presiding, interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
