Obituary of Linda J. Snyder

Linda Joan Snyder, 81, of Cortland, NY passed away on Monday January 5, 2026. She was born on April 30, 1944 in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Donald and Evelyn Snyder. Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She graduated from Central Square High School and went on to attend Bryant and Stratton College, where she earned her business degree. Linda worked various jobs, her most recent being at SUNY Cortland as a secretary. Linda was loving, compassionate, and caring, and always made sure her family was healthy and safe. She loved everyone who crossed her path. In her free time, she enjoyed music, dancing, going to the casino with her sister, playing bingo, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Linda is survived by her daughters Cheryl Tanney, Morgan Snyder, and Julie Tanney, her siblings Donnie (Marylou), Joanie, and Kim (Mike), her grandchildren Matthew, Jeremy, Austin, and Seth, her great grandchildren Keith and Makayla, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her siblings David (Janet), Marlene (Bob), Judy (Bert), and Janice. There are no services at this time.
