Obituary of Laurie Gaines

Laurie A. Gaines, 64 of Truxton, NY passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025. She was born on March 15, 1961 in Syracuse, NY. Laurie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend whose comforting nature and down to earth spirit touched everyone she met. Laurie was predeceased by her sons Gregory Gaines and Richard Gaines Jr. She is survived by her husband of 48 years Richard Gaines Sr, her son Cain Gaines, her daughter Heidi Gaines, as well as 5 grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of wisdom, honesty, values, and morale that will not be forgotten. She worked as a house cleaner but in her free time she thoroughly enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cards, and fishing. Private graveside services and a celebration of life will be planned for a future date where family and friends can gather to share and honor her memory.
