Evdokia G. Rogakos April 23, 1952 – October 18, 2025 Evdokia died October 18, 2025 in Woodland California shortly after having emergency surgery for a ruptured ulcer. She was 73. Evdokia, frequently know as Kia, is survived by her sister Madelyn Schwartz (Laurent), her beloved niece and nephew, Demi and LJ and several cousins. Kia was born in Cortland, New York April 23, 1952 the daughter of the late James and Demetra (Anthony) Rogakos. She graduated Cortland Senior High School, Class of 1970 and SUNY Plattsburg, Class of 1974. In addition to Cortland and Ithaca, she lived in various cities, Pasadena, California; Eugene, Oregon and Woodland, California but her heart remained in the Northeast where she will return for a memorial service Friday, April 24th 2026, 11 AM at Wright Beard Funeral Home in Cortland, NY. Kia worked at the library of Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California where she found her deep and lifelong Christian faith. She will be remembered for her quick, witty sense of humor and her great love of animals particularly dogs. In lieu of flowers, donations to animal rescues of your choice are appreciated.
