Obituary of Lee Henry Wood Sr,

Lee Henry Wood Sr. (79) passed away in the early morning of Saturday March 7th, 2026 with his devoted wife of 65 years, Patricia (Pat) Wood, by his side. Lee Wood Sr. was born on March 14th, 1946. A son to Cyril and Marion Wood, and a brother to his siblings Frank, Jeanette, Milton, Joe, and Carrie. Lee Wood was born and raised in Cortland, NY where he lived a life of loving the outdoors, his logging company, and his family and pets. Logger of the year in 1996, Lee Wood loved camping with his wife and family in Booneville, all things racing, cracking jokes, and helping friends in his community. Lee Wood was a proud father of four children, Amy (Grzelak), Susan (Prier), Lee Jr., and Jason Sr.. An admirable Papa to seven grandchildren, Cameron and Taylor Prier, Courtney Grzelak, Jason, Kyle, Leigha and Nicholas Wood. Lee was also a loving Great Grand-Papa to four, about to be five great grandchildren. He believed in hard work, getting his hands dirty, and acts of kindness. He will be truly missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing him. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life with loved ones in lieu of a funeral at a later date.
