Obituary of Cynthia M. Kimbrough

Cynthia Kimbrough, born December 4, 1948, entered the kingdom of Heaven surrounded by her family, on Saturday April 18, 2026. She is predeceased by her parents Howard (Phyllis) Sherman Jr., and Charlotte (Frances) Treacy, her siblings Yvonne Hitchcock, Beverly Smith, Sylvia Hammond, Tim Sherman and Shirley Casey. She is survived by her husband Carl Kimbrough, daughter Anna (Paul) Alteri, her siblings Pat Shaver, Kimberly (Rubin) Everidge, Susan (Dan) Haynes, Dana Sherman, Neil Sherman, Howard Sherman III, Harold Sherman, and her grandson Jonathan Alteri. Cindy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing bingo, and playing the game Aggravation. She was also a member of the Cortland Fire Auxiliary. A graveside service will be held Wednesday April 22, 2026 at 2pm at the Cortland Rural Cemetery, 110 Tompkins St., Cortland, NY.
