It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing. of our beloved mother, Lena Partigianoni Warren on April 26, 2026. Lena passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving daughters. A celebration of her life will be held in Cortland, NY at a later date to accommodate out-of-town families.
Lena is survived by her beloved daughters, Karen Warren McCauley (Steve) of Culpeper, VA and Rosemary Warren Adessa (David) of Cortland, NY. Her grandchildren Mandi McCauley Dillon (Dale), Melanie McCauley (Bill), Jason Adessa (Morgan), and Amy Adessa Butler (Rory), Great grandchildren: Rachel, Joe, Dayna, Madelyn, Tyler, Owen, and Abigail and numerous nieces, and nephews.
Lena was predeceased by her loving husband of 64 years, Ralph C. Warren of Cortland, NY. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Pantanella) Partigianoni and was predeceased by her 8 brothers: Angelo, Pio, Tony, Joseph, Dominick, John, Jimmy and Sammy along with her sister, Filomena (Fannie) Kimble.
Lena spent the last 8 years in VA and was a lifelong resident of Cortland County. She graduated in 1951 from Cortland High School and was an active member of the high school band, cheerleading, and participated in several sports where she achieved many athletic awards. Throughout her career she worked in the banking industry, and in the communications field holding many positions with the Telephone Company. She worked with Dr. Minor in the health field and later retired from US Air as a reservation agent. She enjoyed traveling with her loving husband and family and making memories. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed engaging with close friends and family on the links, or bowling and many other winter sports. Her ultimate pleasure was being with her immediate family and with her mother whom she cared for through her aging years along with all her in-laws, siblings, and family events.
