William Campbell, 75, of Homer passed away on May 1, 2026, at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 7, 1950, in Syracuse, the son of the late Austin and Pauline DiToro Campbell.

Recently, William fulfilled a lifelong dream by visiting Yellowstone National Park with his daughter, granddaughter, and longtime friend. Among his favorite memories from the trip were seeing Old Faithful and searching for bison. He was known as a friendly and outgoing man who loved talking with everyone he met and was admired for his great sense of humor.
William is survived by his loving daughters, Nicole Humphrey and Michelle Campbell; one granddaughter and his three grandsons; several great-grandchildren; his brother, Audie Campbell; his sister, Cathy Campbell; several nieces and nephews; and his longtime friend and caregiver, Cindy Humphrey.
He was predeceased by his two sons, Cody Humphrey and Shawn Campbell, as well as his brother, Jack Campbell.
