Robert G. Brown Sr., 84, of McGraw, NY passed away on Tuesday May 19, 2026. He was born on June 2, 1941 the son of the late Russell and Pearl Beaumont Brown. Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Above all, he loved his family & cherished the time he spent with them. Robert was an avid NASCAR fan who also enjoyed wrestling and dirt track racing. Known by many as “Genesee Bob,” he was well known for his friendships and laughter shared over the years. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and the many memories he created with those he loved. He leaves behind a large family who will miss him dearly and carry his memory forward. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Sandra Bell Brown, his children , Robert Brown Jr, .Scott Brown Sr., Tami (Scot) Loveless, and Sharmin McGuinness, his sister Kay Dimorier, his grandchildren Jessica, Krissie (Ben), JJ (Sam), Scott Jr. (Dusti), Teddy (Kaleigh), CaSandra (Chris), Devin (Rachael), Marissa (Zack), Tarra, Tristin (Kassandra), several nephews & nieces & great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his siblings Joan Cranson, Russell Brown Sr., Ray Brown, and Norine Nichols. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday May 26, 2026 at 2pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY. To offer online condolences please visit www.wright-beard.com.
