Obituary of Dorothy W Twomey

Dorothy "Dottie" W. Twomey, 83, of Cortland, NY, passed away on June 18, 2026. She was born in Cortland, NY, to Frances Gardiner and George Warnow on April 21, 1943. She lived locally all her life, serving with the United States Marine Corps. She was employed as a supervisor at the Cortland Crescent Corset Co. for a number of years. Over the years she enjoyed gardening and yard work, playing horseshoes and pool; and in younger years riding her motorcycle. Dorothy is survived by her daughters; Brenda Twomey and Debora Wherry; a son, Thomas "Peter" Twomey; brothers William Warnow, Lawerence Warnow, James (Julie) Warnow, Robert (Bonnie) Warnow; sister, Dawn (Carl) Bryon; two grandchildren Michael Wherry and George Wherry; one great-grandchild, Waylon; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; her brother George A. Warnow; and sister Elizabeth Wildman. Per the family's wishes, there will be no services held at this time.
