Jacob, I was so saddened to hear of your passing. It terrible that such young lives can be taken so soon. The memories of our childhood came back to me but most importantly, your kindness and friendship when we were in pre-k to first grade together. The birthday parties and playing together at recess. The surprise gifts you and your mom would bring me like the giant pink doodle bear that sat on top of my locker and the Star Wars Yoda watch. These are memories I have always held on to and remember the kindness you, your mother, and grandmother always showed me. Thank you for being a childhood friend of mine. You will always be remembered. May you rest peacefully and always send your family signs that you are there with them because they need that.

JP, you and I have so many memories since the day you were born. You were the first baby I saw in the hospital ever in my life! Taking you swimming in your yellow little tube and making you giggle swinging you in circles. As you got older, I loved watching you play baseball, watching you graduate and hangout by the pool or go to concerts.
My favorite memory, which I had to come late to, was finding out how you snuck Bailey out to see her boyfriend cause you knew I wouldn’t say no if you were the one getting her. And learning about how you and Bailey hung out, being naughty, makes my heart smile. You were always a kind and generous soul, just like your mom. Love you forever kid.

I don’t know where to begin. From the day you blessed us with your birth and the 26 years of memories we’ve had watching you grow into a beautiful young man I have been proud to call you my grandson. The house is now empty and a hole is in my heart. I miss you and wish we had had more time together. You were amazing and excelled in all you did. Seeing all your friends at your celebration of life showed how much you were loved. I look forward to the day we see each other again. I love you.

It’s hard to put into words what you meant to me because our friendship was made up of so many little moments that became some of my favorite memories.
I’ll miss the random check-ins just to see how we were doing, the endless funny memes you’d send, and our late-night conversations about everything and nothing. Somehow, one simple plan with you always turned into a whole new adventure, and those are the memories I’ll always hold onto.
You had such a love for cooking, and I’ll always think of you when Christmas comes around. Thank you for staying up late helping me get everything ready for my Kaylee’s Towing Christmas parties, making the work actually feel like fun.
You were my biggest hype man, always believing in me and cheering me on, even when I didn’t believe in myself. What I’ll never forget most is that you always made sure I was okay. Even when you were carrying struggles of your own. That kind of selflessness is rare, and it’s something I’ll forever admire about you.
I’ll never forget the kindness, laughter, and friendship you gave so freely. Those are gifts that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
Thank you for every laugh, every adventure, every conversation, and every memory. Your friendship helped me through some of the hardest times in my life, and I will always be grateful for that. I’ll miss you more than words can ever say, but I’ll carry a piece of you with me in every random meme, in the kitchen, and every unexpected adventure.
This isn’t goodbye. It’s simply, “Until we see each other again.”
I hope you knew just how deeply you were loved. I’ll miss you always JP.
Love,
Kaylee <3

Jacob, you were the closest thing to a nephew we will ever have. Picking one memory is not easy since there are so many.
I can’t believe your mother trusted me to hold you as a baby after only knowing me for 6 months. My arms were so sore from being afraid of dropping you.
Then there was all the birthday parties, concerts at Hartnett, races, and baseball games. You worked with Mark and Shawn on their baseball skills.
You came over to have a drink with us on your 21st birthday. You gave me crap about wanting a Jeep Truck, and then came over to show yours off telling me that they grew on you.
We miss you so much,. As it says on my Uncle’s marker who was also an avid motorcycle rider, you are, “Riding Free”
Love,
Uncle Jason, Aunt Shawna, Mark, and Shawn

I met Jake in December of 2024, and we shared a lot of memories together in what seems like such a short time when compared to a life time. It was my privilege to know him the way I did and have him in my life for the time I was able. He will be missed dearly.

I recently met Jake in June and talked a lot getting to know each other. He was so sweet and kind to me in the short time I got to know him. He was so handsome, charming, funny, spunky, and just an overall a sweetheart. I considered him the selfie king as he would always send a smile or a picture of his bike. We got to spend time together at Green Lakes on the beach just talking and watching the sunset, and then decided to go bowling on an unplanned adventure. The inner athlete in us came out while bowling with some friendly competition and we had a great time and planned to share more time together this week. Oddly enough, we shared the love of the same monster energy drinks (red white and blue raspberry, zero sugar), weightlifting, and the outdoors. I wish our time together wasn’t cut so short, but he changed my life for the better in that short time. While I didn’t have the opportunity to meet his family, I pray deeply for them to find peace.

Q: What was one of the qualities of Jacob that you loved most?
A: Jacob was a gifted athlete. He was always polite and quick to smile. His love of animals was instilled in him the moment he was born by his mother Crystal. Jacob touched our lives and hearts. He will be remembered fondly. We are deeply saddened by his passing. Condolences to his family and friends.

Q: How did you meet Jacob?
A: Jacob and I met 20 years ago in a small town elementary school that technically no longer exists. I changed schools at the end of the third grade and I didn't know if I would ever see my friends again. But then, he and his family continued to come in and out of my life up until this very day. I truly believe that if someone isn't meant to be in your life, you won't ever see them again once you part ways. Jacob, Crystal, and Linda have all shown up in the beginning of every life stage. Elementary, then high school, to college, and sadly up to now. Whether you meant it or not, you and your family became a tradition that I started to look for at every turn. I'll still always look for you, just this time in the clouds.
We'll love you forever and always,
Becky Husner

I knew Jacob as a young boy...always loved his smile and sense of fun. It sounds like he grew up to be a fine young man who was loved and admired by many and will be dearly missed by them.
