Please share a memory of Judy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Judy Ann Pierce on July 17th 2026 at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center. Judy was born May 1st, 1942 to Stanley and Lucinda Oliver Wilk in Chenango County and later moving to Marathon and then Cortland as a child. She was a proud graduate of Virgil Central School and went on to Central City Business Institute in Syracuse, NY for a business degree. Judy married Robert Pierce in 1963 and stayed home to raise her family but used her degree selling Dutchmade Clothing, Artex and then Trichem liquid embroidery paints at home parties as well as holding many offices over the years for golf and bowling leagues and waitressing part time at Cort-lanes for many years. She was also the local T.O.P.S chapter president from the early 70's right up until 2025.
Judy was a member of the Virgil United Methodist Church which she was a board member over the years, but more importantly to her was feeding people there whether it was making the soup for the annual church bazaar or cooking hams and turkeys for many after church service meals and finally running The Lord's Cupboard food pantry until her health made her step down. Also, a lifelong member of the NYS Grange where she also fed people her famous spaghetti supper fundraisers. She loved to travel; she and Robert took many cruises, senior trips and frequently visited their daughter and family in Florida. As a longtime member of the YWCA- Judy shared her love of swimming, teaching her children, grandchildren and neighborhood children to swim, and became a certified scuba diver besides. And if there was a card game somewhere she and Robert were there.
Judy is survived by her son Stanley (Robin) Pierce of NY and son-in law Jim Pascucci of Florida, grandchildren Theresa (Jeremy) Granger, Justin (Aley Moulton) Pierce, Lindsey (Nick) Marchese, Anthony (Arial) Pascucci, Michael (Allyson) Pascucci, Jennifer Demarco, Nikki (Tim) Baldwin and Melissa Pascucci. Many great-grandchildren in Florida and Delaney and Elliott Granger of NY. Also surviving are her two brothers Michael and David Wilk, their wives, a very close brother-in-law Lyle (Esther) Pierce and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Judy in death besides her parents are her husband Robert and her daughter Jamie Pascucci.
