Lonna L Maxson 63, of McGraw passed away August 11, 2009 at home after a 2 years battle with cancer. Lonna was bon August 14, 1945 in Groton the daughter of the late Ralph and Amy Watkins Mattoon. Lonna enjoyed reading, camping and spending time with family and friends, She been employed by the Cortlandville water, sewer and highway departments, for 21 years, was past president of the McGraw Fire Department auxiliary, and had served as a fire commissioner for the town of Cortlandville Fire Department for 10 years. Lonna is survived by her husband of 45 years Bernie Maxson of McGraw Sons BJ (Audrey) Maxson of Grand Forks ND, Bill (Sheila) Maxson of Fort Sill OK Her grandchildren Amber and Bryce Maxson, her brothers Ralph Mattoon of Truxton, and Nelson Mattoon of Texas, step brothers Samuel (Dorothy) Brooks of Locke, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lonna was predeceased by her son Dean Maxson in 1968 and brother Varney Mattoon in 2007 Memorial services will be held 12:00 pm Saturday at the McGraw United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jack Ford Officiating. Friends are invited to call from 10:00 - 11:45 am prior to the service. Interment will private.
