Gary Lee Rose II, 54, of Marathon NY, passed away suddenly at home February 7, 2016. He was born March 17, 1961 in Spencer NY. Gary lived in Marathon most of his life coming to Marathon with his family as a child. He was employed with MVE Homes, Buckbee Mears, where he worked for over twenty three years, and most recently Greek Peak. He was an avid outdoorsman. His family will cherish his memory as a loving husband, father, and "Papa". He was a man of faith who had a deep devotion to God. He is survived by his wife Jeannette Rose of Marathon, his children Matthew (Cristina) Rose of Smithville Flats, Matthew (Rebecca) Pritchard of Cortland, Adrienne (James Moore) Pritchard of Bradford PA, his nine grandchildren Joseph, Zoey, Anjouliena, Mason, Willow, Esme, Eliza, Liam, and Rory Lee, his father Gary Lee Rose of TX, his siblings Jeanne Schumacher of Fayetteville NC, Vickie (James) Hawley of Marathon NY, James (Lois) Schumacher of Marathon, his in laws, Robert and Judith Sexton, Austin Sexton, Deanna (Dominic Montoya) Johnson, Elaine (Rick) Laskoski, nieces, nephews and lifelong friend Bob Storie. Gary was predeceased by his mother Diane Kesselring in 2008. Calling hours will be Thursday 12-1:45 pm with a funeral service to begin 2 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045.
