Obituary of Mary Lou Grover

Mary Louise “Mary Lou” Grover, 74 of Cortland New York joined her beloved father the late Johnathon Matusko and loving Grandmother Angelina Tudi on May 8, 2016 after a long struggle with health issues. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her brother Martin Matusko and son Richard J. Schaad. She is survived by her children Dan (Kathy) Schaad of UT, David Schaad of RI, Donna Donnelly of NY and Peggy (Jim) Schaad of NY. Mary Lou had six grandchildren Corey (Megan) Schaad, Lindsey (Caleb) Velaquez, Brian (Haylie) Donnelly, Timothy Donnelly, Jennifer Schaad, and Joshua Smith; also five great grandchildren Logan, Liam and Lillian Schaad; Emma and Christian Velaquez; along with aunts, uncles and cousins. For many years Mary Lou lived in Ithaca, NY. When her children were young she was the neighborhood mom to all their friends. She enjoyed ceramics, gardening, cooking and entertaining. Mary Lou was known for her strong will, beautiful personality, witty sense of humor and radiant smile with bright lipstick. Later Mary Lou resided at Crown Center in Cortland where she enjoyed arts & crafts, playing bingo and cards with her Crown Center family. Mary Lou will be missed by her family and friends. A ceremony to celebrate her life will be announced later this summer. Peace our sweet “Mary Lou”!!!!!
