Paul Daniel Anthony “Pete” Harrington, 73 of Cortland passed away October 11th. Pete was born May 17, 1943 in Cortland the son of the late Roy and Rachel Congdon Harrington. He graduated from Cortland High School and Broome Tech. Pete served his country with the US Army from 1964- 1967 in the Army he received the sharp shooter award. He enjoyed playing cards and bowling .he had been employed at Smith Corona, and as a surveyor for Milt Green and Denkenberger land surveyors. He volunteered for the Disabled American Veteran and was Coordinator of Medical Transportation as well as treasurer. Pete is survived by his brothers Henry “Hank” Harrington and, LeRoy “Joe” Harrington His nephews John Harrington, and Mark (Molly) Harrington great nephew Kyle Harrington and great niece Megan Harrington. His aunt Clara Harrington Bleck. In addition to his parents Pete was predeceased by his nephews Michel and David A Harrington. Calling hours will be held Sunday from12-2 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral home 9 Lincoln Ave Cortland, NY.
