Obituary of Helen E. Trimm

Helen E. Rundell Trimm, 78, of the Friendship House passed away March 6, 2017 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. She was born May 25, 1938 in Summitt, NY. Helen graduated from Homer High School in 1956. She had been employed with the JM Murray Center for seventeen years retiring in 1990. While living locally she was involved in various activities which included, Director of Sunshine Pals, secretary at the 7 Valley CB Club, and organizational secretary for the statewide Country Music Assoc. She and her late husband had lived in Arizona, while living there she involved with various businesses with him, Wilderness search and rescue, Golden Shores Fire Auxiliary, wrote for the Civic Paper in Golden Shores AZ. Recently Helen was treasurer of Friendship House Association. She is survived by her children Rosemarie Flattebo, of Iowa, Helem (Christine) Rundell Jr. of Texas, and Guy Rundell Sr. of Cortland, step children Timothy Trimm, Penny (Ronald) Holbrook, Shari Smith, her brothers, Harvey (Claudia) Covell, William (Christina) Freelove, Gary Freelove, dear friend Patricia Ryan, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Richard Trimm. Calling hours will be 5-7 PM Wednesday, March 8 at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Lincoln Ave. Cortland. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Thursday, March 9, at Wright-Beard Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Virgil Cemetery.
