Obituary of Gordon H. "Bud" Redmond

Gordon H. "Bud" Redmond of Homer passed away on November 8, 2023 at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center. He was born September 28, 1929 in Auburn, NY a son of the late John and Ethel Hoover Redmond. Gordon proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for Smith Corona as an expeditor for 40 years. Gordon was a member of the Moravia VFW. His hobbies were doing magic for his grandchildren, spending time with family, feeding the squirrels, and walking the neighborhood. Gordon is survived by his loving wife, Darlene, a son Daniel Redmond, two daughters, April Eaton, Debbie Killmore, 3 grandchildren, Daniel Redmond, Michelle Phillips, Thomas Eaton, 4 great grandchildren, Mika Eaton, Phoenix Eaton, Sophia Phillips and Oliver Phillips, as well as several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held 11 AM, Saturday at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland. Private burial will be held in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer, NY.
