Obituary of James D. Griffin

James D. Griffin, 17, of Preble, NY passed away on Thursday December 21, 2023. He was born on May 1, 2006 in Cortland, NY. James was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. James never had a bad day, he was pure love. He had a strong bond with his parents and family who were so proud of him and will miss him dearly. James loved the outdoors. He enjoyed four wheeling, dirt biking, camping, fishing, and yard sales. He earned his diploma from Homer High School, where his teachers loved and adored him. James was a wonderful person to everyone he knew. James is survived by his loving parents Daniel Griffin Jr., and Tina Stevens, his sister Sierra Griffin, and his niece Hannah Moore. James is predeceased by both of his grandfathers, Daniel Griffin Sr., and Arthur Stevens. Calling hours will be held on Saturday January 6, 2024, from 2-5pm at the Homer First United Methodist Church, 16 Cayuga St., Homer, NY. A memorial service will follow at 5pm.
