Rose Reed, 86, of Cortland NY, passed away May 15, 2010 in Cortland NY. She was born August 24, 1923 in Toronto Canada, the daughter of the late Edward & Minnie Palmer Foreman. Rose came to the Cortland area in her late twenties. She had been employed by the First National Bank of Cortland. In her spare time she enjoyed arts, crafts, reading but most of all spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Adele Reed of Cortland, Ann (Steven) ODonnell of Virgil, brother Raymond Foreman of Ottawa Canada, grandchildren Marie (Bud) Darling, Loni (Brian) Donahue, Sam ODonnell, and eight great grandchildren. Rose was predeceased by her husband John William Reed in 1990. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Scott Union Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Marys School, 61 N. Main St., Cortland NY 13045 or Caring Community Hospice of Cortland, 11 Kennedy Pkwy, Cortland NY 13045.
