Linda Marie Mulvihill, 62, of Truxton NY , passed away Febraury 20, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 29, 1947 in Cortland NY, the daughter of the late Archie & Rosetta Bennett Hollenbeck. Linda was an area resident all her life graduating from Cortland High School in 1967. She had worked for Smith Corona Corp. for almost 30 yrs until their closing. Linda then went on to the food service program at OCM BOCES, upon her completion of the program she was able to be a substitute food service worker with the Homer High School. Linda was an active member of the Truxton community. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church of Truxton, served as past president of the Truxton Sr. Citizens Center, member of the Truxton Fire Dept. auxiliary and Cortland County auxiliary. In her spare time she enjoyed various craft activities and was an active bowler in area leagues. She also enjoyed traveling, especially trips to NYC with her family. She is survived by her son Eric (Alexandra) Mulvihill of Homer NY, sister Lorraine Bump of Tenn., niece Tina Bastian of Truxton, nephew jose Ferrer of Dryden, great nieces and nephew Alec Bastian, Amaya Bastian, Elizabeth Ferrer, Arielle Bastian, Ericka Ferrer, and Alivia Bastian. A memorial service will be held Wednesday 11 am at the United Methodist Church of Truxton, Rt. 13, Truxton NY , with a time of fellowship to follow the service in the church hall. Hi I am so sorry about linda as we were close friends and i will do anything to help your family out . i did send her a card just this last week. i just lost my son so i didn,t call linda alot being busy with this. i know the pain u are going through and i can only say again i am sorry but at least she not in pain. i am glad u were there eric always, terry Eric we are so sorry for the lost of your mom.She was a good friend for many years and we are going to miss her a lot.Our prayers are with you.Take care and God Bless Ronnie and Dottie Carr Eric: Your mom was a special cousin to me.
