Obituary of Harry S. Fritts

Harry S. Fritts, 82, of Rt. 41, Willet NY, passed away February 15, 2010 at Northwoods at Cortland. He was born August 23, 1927 in Lapeer NY, the son of the late Richard and Elsie Courtney Fritts. Mr. Fritts was the owner operator of the Fritts Dairy Farm in Willet. Harry was an active member of the Willet community serving as treasurer of the local Eastern Milk Producers, planning board member for the town of Willet, Tax Review Committee member for the Town of Willet, and an ASCS Committee Member. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at the Willet Sr. Center. He is survived by his wife of 59 yrs Pearl Fritts of Willet NY, sons Stuart (Donna) Fritts and Burton Fritts both of Willet NY, daughter Luann (Daniel) Kirk of Greene NY, brother Howard (Nina) Fritts of Lapeer NY, sister in law Shirley Fritts of Ithaca NY, grandchildren, James Fritts, Vernon Fritts and Keith Kirk, great granddaughter Natalie Marie Fritts, nieces, nephews, and special friend Carlton Rodman Jr. of Willet NY. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his siblings Donald, Dorothy, and Laura. A calling hour will be held Thursday 1-2 pm with a funeral to begin 2 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc 9 Lincoln Ave Cortland NY. Spring burial will be held at the Marathon Cemetery.
