Donna M. Edwards 63 of Homer passed away February 1, 2010 at home. Donna was born June 9, 1946 in Cortland the daughter of Donald and Marion Banner. She was co proprietor of J.C. Apartments and had served as the church secretary for the 1st United Methodist Church in Cortland. Donna was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Cortland County Apartment Owners Association, and the Choral Union at SUNY Cortland Donna is survived by her husband of 45 years joseph Edwards of Homer, her mother Marion Banner of Cortland, and her sister Denise (Pete) Banner-Haley of Cortland. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Donna was predeceased by her father Donald Banner. The family wishes to thank the Cortland County Nursing Staff for assisting Donna in her recent time of need. Memorial services will be held 1:00 pm Friday at the 1st United Methodist Church RT 222 Cortland. Friends are invited to call from 12:00 €“ 12:45 pm prior to the service. Over the years I do not remember a person who has gone so far to touch the lives of those God brought into her world. Donna will be greatly missed, but God has called home a favored daughter.
