Obituary of Dorthie Maxson

Dorthie Maxson 89 of East Homer passed away December 7, 2009 in Cortland Care Center. Dorthie was born January 11, 1920 in Lake Placid, the daughter of the John and Edgirita Richardson Jubin, she had been employed as a Teachers Aid for the Hartnett Elementary School in Truxton, Dorthie was a member of the East Homer-Truxton United Methodist Church, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and many friends. Dorthie is survived by her children William (Kelly) Maxson of Georgia, Timothy (Jamie) Maxson of Homer, Jeffrey (Jackie) Maxson of East Homer, John (Dianna) Lewis of Georgia, Adrienne (Gordon) Southard of Corning, Peggy (Peter Takach) Brown of East Homer, 13 Grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brother Arthur Jubin of Lake Placid, sister Natalie Norris of Alaska . Dorthie was predeceased by her husbands Alan Lewis and James Jack Maxson, a grandson Aaron Michael Southard, and brother John Jubin. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 am Friday at the East Homer United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery At Dorthies request there are no calling hours.
