Leon Cranson, 84, of McGraw, passed away November 24, 2009 at Northwoods at Cortland. He was born June 20, 1925 in Cortland NY, the son of the late Lloyd and Vergie Allen Cranson. Leon was a lifelong resident of McGraw. He was employed at SUNY Cortland for 24 years retiring in the early 1990s. He was a member of the Solon Sportsmans Club, and enjoyed being outdoors camping, hunting, and fishing. He is survived by his daughters Danielle Tracy of Union Springs NY, Jennifer Cranson of Buffalo NY, brother Louis (Patricia) Cranson of McGraw NY, sisters Betty Hill of McGraw NY, Ruth (Nelson) Smith Marathon NY, 2 grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Monday 12- 1 pm with a funeral to follow 1 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc 9 Lincoln Ave Cortland NY. Burial will follow in the McGraw Cemetery.
