Jane Huff I first met John in the early 50's when I was a Pin Setter at the old Bowling Center on Main Street. I admired John as a Bowler and later, admiration grew into respect. I returned to Cortland in 1996, after 33 years in Arizona. I got reacquainted with John and realized how important he was to the Bowling Community. His influence reached several generations of young bowlers. He will be missed by all who knew him, mostly by us Senior Bowlers who could never beat him. Mike Sopp Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to your wonderful family. Sr will always be one of the best people we?ve known ? he was smart, witty, honest, and kind; gave great advice even when he didn?t know it; and most of all fun to be around! We will always remember the great fun we had during his Florida visits. He loved Dolly and always said and showed it; he loved his family and was proud of all of them, sharing stories during his visits; and he loved his bowling. His memory will always be in our hearts, his presence will always be with us ? we do miss him! Our prayers and throughts are with you... Mark & Anna Dolly and family- We were so sad to hear about John. He was so supportive of the youth bowlers at Shore Lanes- his warm wry smile, gentle laugh and good bowling tips will sure be missed! He left an unforgettable impression on all who were lucky enough to know him. Our deepest sympathy in your loss. David Lance- Shore Lane youth bowler and Valerie Lance- his mom and youth league volunteer. Please accept my condolences in the loss of John. He was always helpful & wonderful to talk to when I came to Cortland for the Empire State Senior Games. He will be missed when I come back next year. Florence Dufek
