Obituary of Frances M. Seymour

Frances M. Seymour, 78, of Cedar St., Cortland NY, passed away May 14, 2009 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. She was born February 21, 1931 in South Carolina the daughter of the late Perry & Irene McCaskill Johnson. Frances was a longtime member of the Homer Ave. Methodist Church. She owned and operated Bivianos Meat Market with her late husband Henry, then went onto retire from the Great American Grocery Store. Frances enjoyed travelling and playing cards with her friends at the Cortland Senior Center. She is survived by her children David (Angie) Seymour of Freemont CA, Donna (William) Higgins of Lansing NY, Darlene (John) Rosmarino of Frederick MD, Dale Seymour of Midwest City OK, special friend of the family Robert Harper, grandchildren Michelle Warren, Michael Foote, Julie Cooper, Donovan Seymour, 5 great grandchildren, brothers Daniel Johnson & Marvin Johnson both of Cortland, many nieces, nephews, & cousins. Frances was predeceased by her husband Henry Seymour, siblings LeRoy Johnson, Elizabeth Sis Williams, and Bessie Dunk Natale. Calling hours will be Monday 1-2:45 pm followed by a funeral service at 3 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, with Rev. Stephen Sigourney presiding.
