Carlton “Carl” Davis Sr., 75, of Scott, NY passed away Thursday at his home. He was born June 11, 1938 in Plymouth, PA, the son of the late Norwood and Martha Link Davis. He has been a longtime resident of the area. Carl “Little Dogger” went into the Navy right out of High School. After the military Carl worked in auto body for varies dealers in NY. He then went to work for Brockway Trucks before retiring from JM Murray Center. Carl married his wife Ruth Humphreys in 1960. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and wood working. Carl is survived by his wife of 53 years Ruth, sons Carl Jr, Arthur (Heather) both of Scott, Janet (Wayne) Relyea of Lansing, Bethann (Jeffrey) Shattuck of Homer, brother Arthur (Nancy Scott) of FL, special aunt Ruth Link of Ohio, grandchildren Nicholas, Kyle, Dylan, Brandon, Julia, Haley, and Brianna, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his nephew Kevin Davis. Funeral services will be held 4 PM Wednesday at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland.
