Barbara J. Mitchell 93, of Cortland, passed away November 30, 2013 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. Barbara was born December 9, 1919 in Homer, NY the daughter of the late Roe and Florence Cox Molineaux. Barbara was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church and was an active member of the Kings Daughters, and The St. Elizabeth’s Guild. She enjoyed sewing and reading. Barbara is survived by her daughters Jill (Gerald) Porter of Cortland, Jennie (John) Monroe of Campbell, California, her son Jere (Rebecca) Mitchell of Columbia Missouri, her grandchildren: Melissa Porter, Khette Faberzak, Jefferson Mitchell, Wil Mitchell, Nicole Craig, and Thomas Jones, several great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her husband Jack M. Mitchell and her son Jack G. Mitchell. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 pm Wednesday at the Grace and Holy Spirit Church 13 Court St. with Fr. Peter Williams presiding, spring interment will be in Elmwood cemetery Preble, Friends are invited to call from 11:00 am – 11:45 am prior to the service at Church.
