Obituary of Deborah K. Lawton

Deborah K. Lawton, 57, of 42 Church St., Cortland, passed away May 17, 2013 at the University Hospital in Syracuse. Deborah was born Jan. 10, 1956 in Cortland the daughter of Douglas A. and Barbara Rounds Park.
Deborah was a lifelong resident of the area. She graduated from Cortland High School in 1974 and then attended Nursing School. Deborah had worked in several different positions until her health no longer allowed her to work. Deborah had served as the Secretary of the Cortland Dart League for many years. She deeply enjoyed her grandchildren and family, SU Basketball, NASCAR, reading and cooking. She will be sadly missed by her family.
Deborah is survived by her daughter; Erica (Dustin) Lawton-Golden of Homer, her parents Douglas and Barbara Park of Homer, her two grandchildren; Greyson and Ava Golden. Two brothers Douglas (Yvonne Deligato) Park of Cortland, Randy (Jane) Park of Virgil and her niece Amanda Park of Virgil.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday 6:00-8:00 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave, Cortland. A service and interment in Virgil cemetery will be private.
