Alice W. Kirk, 91, passed away October 26, 2012 at the Cortland Care Center, Cortland, NY following a lengthy illness. Born on November 30, 1920, to the late Arthur and Blanche Webster of Scott and Homer, she resided in the Town of Summerhill, NY for her entire life. She and her husband, Paul, married at a young age, and raised their family on the family farm in Summerhill. Alice was a homemaker, well known for her fabulous cooking and her hard-work ethic. She served her Lord in many ministries at Milan Baptist Church, Locke, and currently was a member of Dresserville Baptist Church. She was a Sunday School teacher, organist, choir director, and in later years visited area nursing homes where she played the piano & taught crafts to the residents.
She is survived by her children Jim (Carol) of Moravia; Karl (Phyllis) of Cortland; Patricia (Bob) Brickel of Florida, and John (Karen) of Summerhill. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren: Susan, Shari, Christie, Melody, Kimberly, Shaun, & Jennifer; 4 great-grandchildren: Heather, Derek, Kierstyn, & Malachi; 2 great-great grandsons: Tyler & Brady. Also surviving is her sister Martha Getson of Syracuse, and many nieces & nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband, Paul, brothers Franklin & Clair Webster, and twin great-grandchildren Nathan and Courtney Halladay.
A calling hour will be held Monday, October 29, from 12:00 noon to 1 p.m. at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY. A service honoring her life will follow with Pastor Tom Rofe officiating. Interment will be in Atwater Cemetery, Homer, NY.

Sorry to hear Aunt Alice passed away. I remember many summers spent at Summerhill at the barn! May she rest in peace and enjoy the company of her surrounding loving family in heaven. Carolyn Withiam
We are so sorry to hear the passing of such a special lady. She was a big influence on our family, she will be missed by all. Our hearts break for all of you.
