Clair W.Lanpher 93 of McGraw passed away March 6,2013 with his loving family at his side. Clair was born October 30,1919 in McGraw the son of the late Arthur and Bertha Turner Lanpher. Clair had been a farmer, and truck driver for Cortland Bulk Milk. He enjoyed woodworking, and was founder of Granpas Woodshop, he enjoyed playing with the old timers of Marathon, and Elwin Lanpher and Lois Miller. Clair was a member of the Marathon Baptist Church serving as a trustee and deacon . Clair is survived by his wife of 60 years Bernice, his children Harold (Anderea) Lanpher , Carl (Terri ) Lanpher, Dottie (Dennis) Prince, Margaret (Gary) Wheelock, Marjorie (Jerry) Mastin, Sheree (Tom) Bilodeau, 14 grandchildren 13 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents Clair was predeceased by his sister Ruth Hatfield, his first wife Alice Atkins Lanpher. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday at the Grace Christian Fellowship 1250Fisher Ave Cortland with Pastors Tom Boice,and Jon Iler presiding. Spring interment will be in McGraw cemetery.
