Ronald Ron Howser, 66, of Dryden, passed away February 25, 2013 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. He was born September 11, 1946 in Ithaca the son of the late Lawrence and Gertrude Abbey Howser.
Ron was raised and educated in the Dryden area. Ron was a lifelong farmer for himself and others. He was also employed by R. H. Miller. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, hunting, and playing horse shoes. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 47 yrs. Charlene Pudgie Howser of Dryden, his son Mark (Gail) Howser of Groton NY, his daughters Denise (Earl Hoff) Howser of Cortland, Teresa Terri Howser of Cortland, Becky (Kevin) Pratt of Marathon, his brother Greg N. Howser of Freeville, his sisters Elaine A. (Pete) Elliot of Marathon, Jean P. Ingalls of Dryden, Doris B. (Stephen) Jones of Cortland, Marlene (Jack Seymour) Labar of Dryden, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday (tonight) 7-9 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave Cortland NY 13045.
Funeral services will be held Friday 1 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc.
