Janice Hartnett,73, of Truxton, passed away October 11, 2013 at home with family by her side. She was born October 15, 1939 the daughter of the late G. Henry and Frances McCall Beard. Janice was raised in East Homer and was a graduate of the Truxton High School. She was employed as a teacher's aide at Hartnett Elementary School for many years. Janice was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Truxton, and member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Her greatest joy was being with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons Timothy (Carol Klein) Hartnett of Chicago Ill., Thomas (Judy (Hartnett) of Truxton, Edward "Ted" (Christina) Hartnett of Truxton, Kathleen Hartnett of Truxton, Korinne (Randy) L'Hommedieu of Truxton, her brothers Robert and Edwin Beard of East Homer, grandchildren Brynne (Andrew) Stockton, Steven and Mike Hartnett, Derrick and Justin Hartnett, Brendan, Connor, and Daniel L'Hommedieu, great grandchildren Kylie and Jordan Stockton, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Janice was predeceased by her husband Louis Hartnett. A memorial mass will be held Thursday 10:30 am at St. Patrick's Church, Truxton. A gathering will take place following the memorial mass at The Hiawatha Inn, Truxton, NY.
