To the family of Nancy Pace: I'm very sorry for your loss. Mrs. Pace was my pen pal when I was in third grade, eight years ago, when our class at St. Mary's was learning how to write a letter. I remember her letters being a joy to receive, and when I met her at the end of the project, she was very kind. I continued to write back and forth with Mrs. Pace for about a year afterward until we lost touch. I probably still have her address label from Pomeroy Street in my desk somewhere. It was a short occurrence a long time ago, but I think of her whenever I address an envelope. Sincerely, Rachel McNeil
