Kathryn Katie Jillette Lang, 62, of Cortland NY , passed away February 18, 2010 at her home surrounded by family. She was born April 21, 1947 in Cortland NY .
Katie was an area resident most of her life attending Cortland schools. Katie had lived in California for 15 years, and then returned to Cortland. Upon her return, she worked for Cortland Line for many years until her retirement. She then went on to be co-owner/operator of the Elm St. CafÃĩ in Tully with her son David. Her memberships included the DAV, American Legion, VFW, and Eagles Club.
She is survived by her husband Wesley Wes Lang of Cortland, son David (Angela) Earley of Tully, daughter Brenda Monaco of California, step son Wesley Lang Jr. of Cortland, step daughter Shannon Lang of Cortland, sisters Mary Johnson of Binghamton, Susan (William) Wimer of Cortland, Annie (Dan) Kaminski of Cortland, 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents C. Henry and Mary Burns Jillette, and son Douglas Earley.
Calling hours will be held 10-12 am Monday with a funeral to follow at12 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc. 9 Lincoln Ave Cortland NY. Entombment will follow at the Cortland Rural Cemetery Mausoleum.
