William F. Bill Rhodes, Jr., 62, of 6499 Frazier Rd., Sempronius, passed away surrounded by his family at home on February 25, 2010. Mr. Rhodes was born July 29, 1947 in Ogdensburg, NY the son of the late William F. and Irene Perrault Rhodes Sr. Mr. Rhodes was a US Air Force veteran who had served in Vietnam. He had been a longtime resident of Sempronius. He had most recently been employed at Marietta Corporation in Cortland. Bill enjoyed gardening, woodworking and doing projects around his home. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren. Bill is survived by his wife of 22 years Kathy Lansdowne Rhodes, two sons; William (Christine) of Baldwinsville and Chad (Sheena) Mason of Sempronius. One daughter; JoAnn (Jason) Monk of Willet. His sister, Sylvia Roberts of Cortland, son-in-law, Stephen White of Sempronius. His grandchildren; Amanda, Alyssa, Ceiara, Kerri, josh, Halie, Taylor, Dylan, Brayden, Tristan and Bryce. His special buddy, his chocolate lab Molly. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 3:00 PM at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave, Cortland with the Rev. Matthew Binkewicz officiating. There are no calling hours. Salina St., Syracuse, 13203. Kathy and Family Please accept my deepest sympathy for the passing of Bill. I worked with Bill at Marietta. He had a great sense of humor and we would bust on each other when the oppotunity arose. All in fun ofcourse. I consider Bill a friend and am saddened to hear of his passing.
