Obituary of Davis Lee Watts

Davis Lee Watts, 65, of Zephyrhills Fla., was lifted up to heaven on the wings of angels on April 22, 2010 surrounded by his wife and family after battling leukemia for four years. Davis was born on October 23, 1944 in Lexington KY.
Davis graduated from Eastern Kentucky University and served in Vietnam as a captain earning both the Army Commendation Medal and Bronze Star. He and Lonna traveled to over 73 countries and all the continents. He retired after 25 yrs. as V.P. for Tenet Healtchcare and then was V.P. for PNC Bank. Davis loved to golf, travel, play cards, and read. His strength, courage, bravery and tenacity were always evident in his valiant effort to beat this disease. Although he was not healed on earth he is completely healed in heaven.
In addition to his wife Lonna he is survived by five children, Davis L. Watts II, Michelle Forbes, Elizabeth Colon, Brian Watts and Glenn Forbes Jr., ten grandchildren, Ian Sisk, Madelyne Watts, Zachariah Bates, Alexander Colon, Ethan Watts, Anthony Colon, Seth Bates, Glenn S. Forbes III, Chloe Watts, and Connor Forbes, also his furry four legged daughter Hestia.
Funeral services were held in Florida. A graveside service with military honors is 2:00 p.m. May 1, 2010 at the Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden NY. My beloved Davis Lee, Did you ever know that youre my hero ?....
