Muriel L. Rood 80 of Cortland , passed away April 29, 2010 in Cortland Regional Medical Center.Muriel was born January 18, 1930 in Cortlandville the daughter of the late Lawrence and Edna Rolfe Ayers. Muriel is survived by her husband Donald G, Rood of Cortland her daughter Jacqueline A Rood, of Homer, sons Donald W. (Laurie) Rood and Terry Michael Rood of Cortland, brother Lawrence L Ayers Jr. of Virginia , sisters Jeanette (Gordon) Rood, Norma Tanner, Evelyn Long all of Cortland, Martha (Eugene) Vossler of Vermont, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Monday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave. Cortland. Interment will follow in Atwater Cemetery Homer.
