John R. Sebastino Jr., 55, of Cortland NY, passed away unexpectedly June 22, 2010 while at work. He was born September 2, 1954, in Carthage NY, the son of the late John and Barbara Plumadore Sebastino, Sr. John came to the area with his family as a child and lived locally. He graduated from Cortland High School in 1973. John enjoyed hunting, working on cars, and watching NASCAR and the New York Yankees. He is survived by his wife Patricia Sebastino of Cortland NY, daughter Tabitha (Jamie Degilio) of Syracuse NY, son Lucas (Nicole Ponedel) of Wisconsin, brother David (Tammy) Sebastino, sister Carol (John) Paley, granddaughter Amelia Grace Degilio, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday 11 am-12:45 pm with a time of sharing to begin 1 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., Cortland NY, 13045. At 1:00 pm family and friends will be invited to share a memory of John. Burial will follow at the Glenwood Cemetery, Homer NY. His laughter was as deep as his generous sole. I will miss him. I cannot find the words to say that will comfort you at this time.
