Alice A. (DeMass) Tifft 97 of Cortland passed away September 15, 2010 in Cortland Regional Medical Center. Alice was born August 13, 1913 in New Haven, NY the daughter of the late John and Etta Watson Donovan. Alice enjoyed spending time with her family and had been a life member of the VFW Auxiliary. She is survived by her children Larry (Diane) DeMass of Glens Falls, Robert (Christina) DeMass of Marathon, Alberta (Paul) Richardson of Newark, NY, Phyllis Byrd of Florida, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Alice was predeceased by her first husband Robert DeMass, and second husband Ernest Tifft,daughter Jeanette Hill , sisters Arlene Truell, Lena Licourt, and Arsula Donovan, and brother Burton Donovan. At Alices request there no calling hours or services. Interment will take place in New Haven Rural Cemetery at the convenience of the family. I worked with Phyllis at Wilsons Sporting Goods factory .So remember the happy times with her folks!!!! Glenda Wright Sympathies to Great Aunt Alices' family. She was married to my Great uncle Ernie.
