Lois M. Raymond Craig, 88, of 51 Port Watson St., Cortland passed away October 19, 2010 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Craig was born January 20, 1922 in Freetown, NY the daughter of the late Howard and Ethel Whitmarsh Hines.
Mrs. Craig had been a life long resident of the area. She had retired from Smith Corona after many years of employment. A member of the United Presbyterian Church in Cortland and had been a Hospital Auxiliary volunteer, a member of RSVP, and had volunteered at the Chamber of Commerce visitor booth. Lois enjoyed spending time with friends, playing cards and traveling.
Mrs. Craig is survived by her two daughters Kathie Raymond (Dennis) Brunner of Macedon, NY and Gail Raymond Ventura of Brattleboro, VT. One brother James (Gladys Charlie) Hines of Lakeland, FL... Her grandchildren, Kelley, Kimberly, William, Heather and Marabeth. Ten great grandchildren and several loved nieces and nephews.
Lois was predeceased by her first husband Roland Nick Raymond in 1978, second husband Herbert Craig in 1993 and third husband James Ingrahm in 2003. Brothers Donald, Kenneth and Robert and sister Jean McAllister.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave, Cortland with the Rev. John Gay officiating. Interment will take place in the Freetown Cemetery. Friends are invited to call on Saturday 12:00-1:00 prior to the service.
