Eva B. Allen, 92, passed away November 11, 2010 at Cortland Care Center. She was born July 6, 1918 in Cortland, the daughter of the late Floyd and Lula Transue Berry. She was married to Gerald W. Allen and lived most of her life in Homer, NY Mrs. Allen was a homemaker and in her earlier years did housework of many prominent families in Cortland and Homer. Mrs. Allen is survived by her step grandchildren, one brother, Raymond (Eloise) Berry of CO, nieces; Eleanor Dippilito of NC, Phyllis Jacobi of McGraw, Kathryn Berry of Canada, Laura Goetz of Queensbury NY, Connie DeGraw of CA, Nephews; Richard Hemmings of FL, Tom Dixon of FL, Gordon Wheeler of Cortland, Stephen Berry of CO, and Robert Berry of CO. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband in April 1995; three brothers, Robert Chester and Wilson Berry; three sisters, Violet Hemmings, Luella Wheeler and Charlotte Dixon, and one niece and one nephew A graveside service will be held November 23 at 10:00 A.M. at the Scott Union Cemetery.
