Pat Padavona, 92, passed away peacefully on December 28th at Cortland Care Center. He served his country during World War II. He enjoyed working with his hands, making many pieces of fine furniture and accent pieces. Pat is survived by his daughter-in-law, Wendy Dio-Padavona, his brother Johnny, his grandson Dan and wife Terri Padavona, and his great-grandchildren Joey and Julia Padavona. Pat was pre-deceased by his wife Anna and his son Ronnie. Calling hours will be held from 5-7pm Monday, January 10th at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Avenue. The funeral service will be at Wright-Beard Funeral Home Tuesday, January 11th at 11am. Interment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery in Cortland. Pallbearers will be Dan Padavona, David Feinstein, Harold Hyde and Greg Hyde. Anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in Pats name is asked to consider Caring Community Hospice of Cortland, or the charity of their choice. My heart goes out to the Padavona family. What a terribly hard year for this family. First Pat lost his son Ronnie who was loved by millions of music fans, not just Pat lost Ronnie but the Padavona Family. Now Pat is gone. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God bless you all as He will get you throught this very hard time.
