Obituary of Clifton Little

Clifton J. Little Jr. 71 of Marathon passed away July 13, 2011 at Cortland Regional Medical Center. Cliff was born May 23, 1940 in Cortland, the son of the late Clifton and Ina Kelsey Little. Cliff served his country with the US Navy, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bird watching, but most of all he enjoyed spending time volunteering at the country music park. Cliff is survived by his wife of 36 years Frances Youmans Little of Marathon, his children Jeffrey Little of Ithaca, Steven (Kathy) Little of Cortland, Matt (Missy) Little of Cortland, Vickie (Bill) Stebbins of Ithaca, Kristi (Bruce) Boda of Ithaca, Luann Frost of McGraw, Rebecca (Toby) Little of Homer, brothers Leon (Cindy) Little of Marathon, Gary ( Laurie) Little of Cortland, sister Joyce (Joe) Lovendusky of Homer, 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild , several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Cliff was predeceased by his son Timothy, granddaughter Jennifer Lynn, sisters Gladys and Lenora, and brother joseph. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave with the Reverend Allan J. Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow in Cortland Rural Cemetery.
