Virginia J.Davall 86, of Cortland was called to be with her loving Lord and beloved husband Jim on January 10, 2012 Virginia was born April 9, 1925 in Fairdale PA. The daughter of the late Lee W and Dorothy Wentzel Brotzman. Virginia graduated from Harpursville Central High School in 1943. She and her late husband were proprietors of Madison Granite Works Madison, NY. She was an active member of the Homer Ave. United Methodist Church. Her memberships included the Augusta Chapter No 850 of Eastern Star, the Cortland Senior Center and RSVP. Virginia is survived by her sons Russell Davall of Homer, NY and his fiancÃĩe Wanda Stiles, Dennis Davall and his wife Terrie of South Glens Falls, NY brothers Lee W Brotzman of North Carolina , Harold Brotzman of Williamstown, Mass., sisters Doris Stone of Afton, NY. Shirley Howland and her husband Raymond of Ithaca, NY grandson James Davall, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Virginia was predeceased by her husband James and infant son William. Friends are invited to call from 10:00 am €“ 12:00 pm Saturday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave. A Memorial service will follow at 12:30 pm at the Homer Ave United Methodist Church with the Reverend Dale Austin officiating. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery in Harpursville, NY at the convenience of the family In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Virginias name may be directed to the Homer Ave. United Methodist Church 30 Homer Ave. Cortland, NY 13045 or the American Diabetes Association 6390 Fly Road East Syracuse, NY 13057.
