Helen Catherine Bush - Marshall "Love Heals; Those who give it and those who receive it." Lover of life, nature , music and the Infinite Power of the Universe. She believed "What goes around comes around" and lived her life as such. She like, like few others understood the art of , unconditional love, forgiveness and friendship. She dedicated her life to the service of others. Graduating Summa Cum Laude with a dual degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology committing her life to others, receiving countless recognitions and awards while working as the Director of " The Dryden House" at HOMES Inc.. After retiring from HOMES Inc., and raising her biological children, she and her husband John opened their home to children to do what she loved to do which was to be a Mom. She embodied the role of Motherhood and being a Nana (Grandmother) and extended that Love to anyone in need. She is known as "Mom" to countless children in Cortland and surrounding counties. Living the continuum of her legacy in living a life of service to others are her husband John W. Marshall, her World Makers (children) as she called them; Dennis R.Wilk, Steven J. Marshall, Tammy L. Marshall, Paula J. Marshall, Andrew W. Marshall and William J. Marshall as well as countless children that she cared for in her home for over 20 years. Her grandchildren; Nicholas J. Marshall, Nathaniel R. Marshall, Derek C. Keegan, Nerissa L. Marshall, Austin T. Marshall, Robert Wilk, Daniel Wilk, Jessica Wilk, Melissa Wilk, Andrew M. Marshall Jr., Andi Helen Marie Marshall, Edyn Varney Marshall, Dayna West, Alexis West, Austin West. Helen requested a small private service at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, in Cortland, New York Monday, February 16th at 6pm.
