Obituary of William J. Cobb

William Bill Cobb, 58, of McGraw NY, passed away February 2, 2012 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. Bill lived locally most of his life. He served with the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. Bill was employed by Suit Kote for many years. He enjoyed spending time with family especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Bonnie Cobb, his sons Michael (Rebecca) Thornton, William Cobb Jr., Timothy (Kimberly) Allen, daughters Cathy (Drew) Welke, Nicole Smith, Kristi Allen, brothers Elmer, Don, and Gerald Cobb Jr., sisters Louise George, Linda George, Lucy Colvin, Geraldine Cobb, Joyce Burnett, Coralee Williams, Debra Holbrook, and Missy Russell, many grandchildren, great grandchild, nieces, and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his parents Gerald and Dorothy Cobb, brothers Edwin and James, grandson Brian Thornton. A calling hour will be held Monday 10-11 am with a funeral service to begin 11 am at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045.
